Tozour
Energy Systems, in conjunction with ae3, the Alliance for Energy,
Economic and Environmental Building Solutions, hosted its annual energy
conference Nov. 8-10 in Philadelphia. The event was a collaboration of 17
energy service providers in North America that are focused on delivering a
positive impact on the environment and their businesses.
This year’s conference,
“Forging the SMART Revolution,” focused on expanding knowledge and skills
within three learning tracks: SMART Selling, The Connected Customer Experience
and Innovative Technologies. The three-day conference featured HVAC industry
experts and executives sharing best practices in various formats, including
panel discussions, workshops and a keynote address by Kevin Bollom, vice
president of building services for Trane Commercial North America.
“It’s fitting to host the
ae3 energy conference in Philadelphia, the city where Benjamin Franklin
conducted his lightning and electricity experiment,” said Kevin Duffy, president
of Tozour Energy Systems. “Our industry has evolved from kites and keys into
innovative technology that creates energy-efficient commercial buildings.”
Conference attendees had the
opportunity to explore various aspects of the energy industry in each of the
learning tracks:
SMART Selling — SMART Services measure, sustain and optimize a building’s performance,
and the results are integral in leveraging energy to open more business doors
and close more deals. Using building information and analytics, participants
learned the key financial metrics that allow them to monetize the data
collected.
The Connected Customer Experience — these sessions focused on the next generation of
service delivery, with emphasis on the customer experience that drives
profitable, lifelong, trusted adviser relationships. Experts emphasized the
benefits of understanding the customer’s challenges and needs, and demonstrated
how to convert big data into client-centric deliverables.
Innovative Technologies — the combination of innovative solutions leads to a
better savings outcome. The insight from business leaders and technology
providers helped the audience understand new technologies and how they must be
harnessed to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
The 2017 ae3 Energy
Conference was attended by energy service companies from across the country,
with representatives from the following markets in attendance: Tampa; Houston;
San Francisco/San Jose; Greensboro; Washington, DC; Charleston, West Virginia;
Chesapeake, Virginia; Des Moines; Louisville; Wichita, Kansas; Las Vegas; New
Castle, Delaware; and Philadelphia.
Tozour hosting the event comes
on the heels of the company’s support of last month’s launch of the
Philadelphia 2030 District. The initiative creates an opportunity for members
and partners to significantly reduce energy and water use and transportation
emissions by the year 2030.
