The “All New, Bigger, Better” SugarHouse Casino $164 Million Expansion Ribbon Cutting

 

Overview:

Nearly two years after groundbreaking, SugarHouse Casino reached the completion of its $164 million expansion project, including an expanded gaming floor and parking options, four Philly-focused dining options in the casino’s Marketplace, a brand-new poker room, a multipurpose Event Center, the high-end steakhouse Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House and more. Hornercom embarked upon the production of a grand ribbon cutting celebration to officially mark the completion of the massive endeavor.

 


Strategy:

Hornercom compiled a program celebrate the completion of the project with SugarHouse and Rush Street Gaming, the casino’s parent company, leadership, Team Members and community partners. The event featured remarks from SugarHouse executives and public officials, and a ribbon cutting moment, complete with SugarHouse-themed balloon drop. The program was followed by self-guided tours of the new casino amenities and a private lunch at Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House. A custom, six-foot poker chip was crafted as the event’s official “selfie station,” inviting guests to snap a picture of the “All New, Bigger, Better” SugarHouse. Food-themed gift bags were given to each guests, containing items representing each of the new Marketplace restaurants: Tacconelli’s Pizzeria, Saxbys Coffee, Geno’s Steaks and SugarHouse’s own grab-and-go concept, Revolution Grill.


 

Results:

More than 250 guests came and celebrated the launch of SugarHouse Casino’s new chapter. The event was covered in all major Philadelphia print, online and broadcast media outlets, as well as regional and national gaming trade publications. Coverage resulted in more than two million branded media impressions highlighting the new gaming and non-gaming amenities now available at SugarHouse Casino.
